Subject: Mask Wear and Increase of HPCON to B+ on Joint Base San Antonio

Information:
1. The installation will transition to Health Protection Condition (HPCON) BRAVO PLUS effective 0001 30 July 2021. The intent of this change is to protect our community and prevent further spread of COVID-19. This change includes a provision, directed by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, requiring wear of masks indoors on Federal installations in areas of substantial or high community transmission.
a. Attachment 1 (HPCON Table) is the Force Health Protection Actions by HPCON Level. All JBSA units will review the                             HPCON measures for A through B+ to ensure proper HPCON levels are being followed.
b. The HPCON Bravo+ is attached (Attachment 2) for display at all locations.

2. Effective immediately, DoD requires all Service members, Federal employees, onsite contractor employees, and visitors, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask in an indoor setting in installations and other facilities, owned, leased or otherwise controlled by DoD.

3. Service members, Federal employees, onsite contractor employees, and visitors, who are not fully vaccinated, also need to continue to physically distance consistent with applicable CDC and DoD Force Health Protection guidance.

Instructions to JBSA Units:
1. All UCCs, GCCs, and 502 ABW Unit Reps must log into WebEOC- Commanders Directive Action Tracker board and update their unit’s receipt and completion of this action. Use action number (CD26) on the Action Tracker
2. Ensure maximum dissemination of this message
3. EAs must share message with mission partners leadership at their location
